The results of the provincial KPIs survey for 2019-2020 released this week show that companies hiring Canadore alumni “are satisfied with the preparation of our graduates for the demands of the workforce,” said the college in a press release Monday.

“Canadore College works closely with industry to determine workforce needs,” said Canadore President and CEO George Burton.

“The fact that our employer satisfaction rate is 100% is proof that we are doing something right. “

Canadore also scored above the provincial average in student graduation rate, graduate employment rate, and graduate satisfaction rate.

More than two-thirds of Canadore’s students – 68.4% – have graduated from college, compared to the provincial average of 65.9%.

Almost 88 percent of Canadore graduates worked six months after leaving college, compared to 77 percent province-wide, and 82.3 percent of Canadore graduates said their college experience was theirs. useful in meeting their goals, compared to a provincial average of 78 percent. hundred.

The province and Ontario colleges have been collecting annual data since 1998.

KPI data is normally released in the spring, but 2019-20 KPI surveys have been suspended in 2020 out of respect for students, graduates and employers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2020-2021 surveys have also been delayed.

“We are pleased with the results of Canadore’s KPIs, especially given the impacts of COVID-19,” said Burton.

“Canadore students have persevered through new hybrid delivery models and delayed academic opportunities. Not only have they succeeded in their educational journey, but they are also successful in the job market. “

The Ministry of Colleges and Universities has stopped collecting results on student satisfaction as part of the KPI survey process and is prioritizing the collection of data on the labor market outcomes of graduates .
