Eagles welcomes sponsorship of Alliance Health

The ZIMBABWE Cricket Eagles franchise believes their groundbreaking partnership with medical insurance giant Alliance Health will provide the perfect tonic for their teams as they seek to establish themselves as a dominant force on the national stage.
The Eagles received a financial boost ahead of the upcoming season after Alliance Health unveiled a sponsorship package worth US $ 19,000 for the Harare-based team on Tuesday.
Alliance Health was the team’s away kit sponsor last season, but has now gone further with a new deal that will allow them to secure the naming rights to all teams in the franchise which will now be known as Alliance Health Eagles.
Eagles franchise general manager Wonder Chisango said the partnership with Health Alliance, the first of its kind in local cricket, will go a long way in developing the sport in the province.
He said the sponsorship would create the right environment for the Eagles team aiming for a successful season in all three formats.
“We congratulate Alliance Health for having the foresight to partner with us and thereby advance the development of the game in the province. The financial injection will also help the administration to expose players to additional hardware that goes beyond what they usually have access to. This will create an environment that will improve performance, thereby helping teams achieve their goals, which is to win trophies, ”said Chisango.

Alliance Health chief executive Millicent Banda said the partnership with Eagles was in line with their organization’s passion for wellness through sport. “We are a health conscious institution and believe our mandate is to support the advancement of wellbeing through sporting activities such as cricket,” said Banda.
“We’re excited to come on board with the Eagles franchise naming rights, we’ve been working with the Eagles since 2020, when we sponsored their travel kit last year, so this year we’ve decided to take the sponsorship. a bit more.
“As a brand, as a company, we believe in building communities and building healthy, active communities,” said Banda.
The colorful ceremony also saw the unveiling of the new look of the 2021/22 gaming shirts. Coached by national team assistant coach Stuart Matsikenyeri, the Eagles will be led on the pitch by experienced opener Chamu Chibhabha, who retained the captain position.
Let goalkeeper-batsman Regis Chakabva provide much needed experience in the side which has a number of upcoming stars such as rising star Wesley Madhevere and Richard Ngarava.
