Hello, Mets fans! Happy Jacob deGrom day!

DeGrom is set to win the final game of a four-game set with the Philadelphia Phillies as the Mets look to complete a four-game sweep of their division rivals.

However, Thursday’s forecast could stand in the way of that as we should see heavy and consistent rains all afternoon. According to the director Luis Rojas, they will monitor the weather situation and make the decision to prepare deGrom, or choose another option in order to preserve their ace.

Now let’s see what happened around the diamond on Wednesday!

Latest Mets News

Rojas said Jd davis (contusion to his hand) has taken up batting practice this week and they expect to activate him from the injured list this weekend when he is eligible to return.

As for Dellin Betances (shoulder conflict) he is not expected to travel with the team to Colorado or Chicago and there is no timeline for then he will start to throw, for Rojas.

DeGrom said ESPNJeff Passan in a recent phone interview that he believes he can perform and compete at a high level in his forties.

The ever infamous Bernie Madoff, responsible for the biggest ponzi scheme in white collar crime history deceased in prison Wednesday at the age of 82. Madoff was serving a 150-year sentence and is known in Mets country as the villain, who swindled a substantial amount of invested money out of the pockets of the team’s former majority owner. Fred wilson, which left the club financially crippled and in debt thereafter.
